Valentino Fall/Winter 2018 Ready-to-Wear Review

 Pierpaolo Piccioli's creations for the house of Valentino exude modern luxury and refinement. Materials like silks and wools just oozed sophistication  Like the Spring/Summer haute couture show, the petal-shaped hoods and modest floor length dresses brought in a sense of Romanticism. Silhouettes of flowers hung over draped fabric throughout the collection. Black, pastels, and shocking red, pink, blue, and green dominated the collection. These colors were luscious and inviting. Theres a much appreciated modesty in this collection, with its long tunics over trousers. drapery, and full-length sleeves. In a fashion world with so much flash and reveal, it's fantastic to see elegance in modesty. The clothes arent ever stuffy, but always in soft fabrics with scalloped edges paired with modern pearl jewelry and leather tote purses. 

Valentino's look like the most expensive things in the world this season. which has to do with Piccioli's abolitiy to choose the most precious fabrics, and cut and drape them on to the women's body in such a flattering, yet modern way. Any woman could wear these clothes, no matter their age, culture, or modesty. It's all pure modern elegance.
